Promoting national coaching course
opportunities and encouraging new & existing coaches &
assistant coaches in Network clubs to attend & support these through
the award of coaching bursaries

Arranging & delivering a programme of six
generic coach education sessions (e.g. sports nutrition,
video analysis, sports psychology, biomechanics) through our
academic partners Writtle & SEEVIC Colleges.

Arranging
& delivering a programme of
event specific coach education sessions
(e.g. hurdles, triple jump, high jump and pole vault), as informed by the
baseline audit, where feasible using a team of NCDP and other
experienced coaches within Network clubs.

Facilitating arrangements for coaches & selected athletes to join
training sessions with other more experienced coaches/athletes

Developing a mentoring structure &
processes through key event coaches to improve the
knowledge and skills of all levels of coaches throughout the network

Facilitating arrangements for coaches & selected athletes to join
training sessions with other more experienced coaches/athletes

Supporting clubs in
developing and implementing an identifiable
club coaching structure
e.g. all clubs have a coaching co-ordinator who has an agreed role
description and all coaches have a clear link to a head coach or
event specific coach.

Promoting England Athletic and CCSO ‘Flying
Coach’ visits and support coaches and clubs to access the
programme.
